Go Developer at Utopia Music
🇸🇪 (Posted Jan 31 2019)
About the company
While technology continues to shape the future, the world of music remains in the past. Our mission is to reclaim the creative and economic value of the music industry.
At Utopia, we are setting out to transform the entire industry. To create new revenue streams, consolidate the data and declutter the admin; unlocking the industry’s full potential by unifying it all in one truly holistic space.
Utopia was founded in 2016 with the goal of creating a better world of music. With an ever-growing team of 60+ people across Sweden, Switzerland and Spain – all focused on one common goal; providing a trusted, fast and fair environment for all.
Welcome to Utopia – Where music lives.
We at Utopia Music are looking for developers. Both the new Gopher looking to expand their skillset and the confident ones. The goal is to help every aspect of the music industry.
The job is to join our team building our micro service backend from the ground up written (almost) completely in Go. It's mostly what you expect, a bunch of services loosely coupled being exposed by a few REST APIs. That said there are a few challenges that stands out.
We are a blockchain company and will need to work with at least the Ethereum Network. There is need for Audio Fingerprinting (duh). Machine Learning is great for data sanitation, which we do a lot of. Big Data comes without saying. I wont't go too deep into the stack but we believe in The right tool for the job™.
We offer you all the basic things you expect - your choice of equipment, five weeks of paid vacation, mentoring, code reviews, a diverse set of english speaking co-workers, breakfast every day, infinite coffee, 550$/year to spend on well being, training (if you want it). If you need help with relocation just let us know.
Get in touch if you are interested or want to know more.
Skills & requirements
You need to know your way around the go ecosystem. At least a few years of experience as a developer.
