The role
You will build AI microservices and ship them as production APIs in Go. This is an applied engineering role, not a research one. Success looks like an LLM pipeline going from prototype to a documented, monitored, low latency endpoint that paying customers depend on.

You own it end to end. The team is lean and there is nobody to hand a model off to.

What you'll do

Build and ship AI services: summarization, RAG, embedding search, event detection, and time series forecasting over financial news, filings, and earnings transcripts.
Deliver those services through Go APIs built for low latency and high request volume.
Design real time inference pipelines on AWS using Kafka, Kubernetes, and S3.
Turn unstructured financial text into structured, sellable data.
Instrument everything: monitoring, drift detection, evaluation, and retraining.
Own your deploys: Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, GitLab CI/CD.

What we're looking for

- 4+ years building production systems in AI/ML or data engineering. What you have shipped matters more than what you have trained.
- Strong Python. Strong Go, or strong systems experience in another compiled language plus the appetite to be productive in Go within a month.
- Hands on experience putting LLMs into production: RAG, embeddings, evaluation, context engineering, cost and latency tuning.
- Comfort with distributed systems: Kafka, Kubernetes, Postgres, Redis.
- The judgment to pick your own problems. We will tell you what matters, not what to build.
- Must be obsessed with fintech whether that's financial markets related products or the markets themselves. Highlight a related project in your video.

Nice to have

- Startup experience, or a track record of shipping without a manager.
- Fintech, market data, or financial news NLP.
- Vector search: OpenSearch kNN, Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS.
- Model training or fine tuning with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Hugging Face.
- Open source contributions to ML or Go projects.
