Responsibilities:

Architect and lead development of backend services.

Mentor other engineers

Own new initiatives

Help define the way we work in the future including coding and design standards

Lead code reviews

Work effectively in an agile development process

Research cutting edge technology that can be applied to accelerate business growth

Debug production issues

Be the communication bridge be product owners and development teams

Skills & requirements
Extensive experience in a service architecture

At least 5 years of experience programming professionally

Server-side experience (Go/Ruby/Node a plus)

Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team

Ability to understand tasks quickly and adapt to an ever-changing environment

Ability to explain complex technical terms to non-technical users

Ability to translate non-technical business requirements into a technical solution

Capacity to oversee a multitude of tasks to ensure project deadlines are met
