Our costumer is an online classifieds site for buying and selling. It was launched by a European media house and acquired by one of the leading Swiss media groups in 2015. With more than 12.5 million monthly visits, this “Start-Up”one is of the biggest online services in Switzerland. You will be joining a team of 30 young and creative colleagues at the Zurich office, centrally located at Zurich. Position: Senior/Junior back end Developer 80-100% Contract: unlimited permanent (no freelancer, no remote) Location: Switzerland/Zurich Office language: English Salary: 100 000 - 120 000 CHF/EURO Vacation days: 25 You should have in depth knowledge of and experience with SQL and either C or golang. Previous work with REST API development is a big plus too. Ideally, you're also comfortable with HTTP, SMTP and standard web stacks (HTML, CSS, Javascript). At the core they are rely on C, golang, Unix and various high performance clustered databases - mastering those will ensure you get up to speed quickly. Here is a sample of recent tasks the backend developers have been working on: - Optimizing and refactoring SQL and database indexes to handle growth - Implementing ad analysis for fraud detection - API development to serve the needs of our users Sounds like an opportunity made for you?
