Job description
Do you have a love of music and a desire to revolutionize how people experience it? Are you also interested in helping to build a billion dollar company from the ground up centered around music, smart devices and the internet of things? We're a small well-funded early stage startup composed of a diverse group of experts in hardware, software, and business development. We're looking for a Go developer to join our team who shares our passion for technology and wants to join us in building products that revolutionize the music and intelligent device industries.

Aivvy is looking for a mid to senior level backend engineer to join us in developing a cloud platform to power a new generation of smart devices. The position will be initially focused on backend development in Go, with future growth into the areas of data science and analytics.

Skills & requirements
Required:
- 3+ years software development experience
- Knowledge of or strong interest in learning Go
- Expertise in scalable backend design and engineering
- Expertise in Linux

Desired:
- Python experience
- Knowledge of NoSQL and SQL technologies
- Experience deploying and running platforms on AWS

Nice to have:
- Docker/CoreOS experience
- Functional programming experience (Erlang/Scala/...)
- An interest/background in algorithm design
