Job description
Vaiex is on a mission to make crypto-currencies more accessible to the general public. We believe they will be the underpinnings of future economies, but only if we can make them simpler and more accessible for the everyday man and woman. Our first goal is to create a fast, secure and trusted online currency exchange, this is where we need your help. We currently have 1 full time developer (our CTO) working on the backend system with part time developers chipping in, but we want to increase our capacity to bring our launch date forward. The role will be entirely development focused, but if you possess sysadmin skills or enjoy the thrill of devops and automating all the things then there is plenty of room for that as well.

You will be working directly with the CTO and Lead Developer to help finalise architecture decisions, implement existing stories and scenarios, refactor existing code base for performance optimisations and honing your TDD abilities.

- GoConvey / Testify
- Consul
- Salt Stack
- Ubuntu

Frontend:
- Hugo
- SCSS
- Grunt / Bower

Skills & requirements
Required:
- Either existing knowledge of Go OR deep knowledge of at least 2 or more programming languages
- Well versed in the practise of TDD
- Knowledge of the Linux CLI
- Knowledge of Bitcoin and/or other crypto-currencies
- Strong grasp of the English language
- Good communication skills

Bonus:
- Experience with BDD
- Experience with Amazon AWS
- Knowledge of any of our backend stack
- Experience in optimising Go
- Practical experience with cryptography and Go
- Experience with distributed computing
