We are looking for two mid-level and two senior Golang Developers to join a growing tech company based in Birmingham City Centre.
JOB TITLE: Golang Developer/ Software Developer/ Back End Developer

We are looking for a number of talented Software Developers to join a forward thinking technology company based in Birmingham City Centre. The right developer will be joining a talented team of developers whose background include Google and Apple. The company build solutions and use smart technology and data science to help make online shopping smarter, and this role will be working within a team of 6 developers building a scalable system that allows the company to accept data from many sources with maximum re-usability.
The solution is built mainly in Golang, however this company appreciate that not many developers are experts in this, or have used it commercially. Therefore they are happy to speak to mid-level and senior developers who have worked with Java or Python, and who have exposure to microservice architecture and who have worked with Cloud Platforms (either AWS, Azure or GCP).
The company offer a training budget of up to Β£1,000 per year, which can be put towards a number of different things from conferences, certifications and courses. They also on board all their new staff and fully train them up to use their full suite of technologies used to build their solutions.
They have a very sociable working environment and go out as a company for a night or day out every quarter. They offer standard working hours of 9-5.30pm with an hour for lunch, but after probation you are flexible to work anytime from 8am-6.30pm. They also offer an optional health care plan and pension, plus 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Key Skills
Solid experience as either a Java, Python or Golang developer
Experience with writing and consuming public APIβs
Experience developing scalable systems
Passion for technology and development
High attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Beneficial Skills
Experience with data processing platforms
Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform, but either AWS and Azure
Exposure to SQL or NoSQL
Knowledge of microservice based architecture
Experience integrating with third party system
Knowledge of Agile methodologies
