Job description
At Return Path, “Big Data” is a big deal! We’re swimming in data, terabytes of it, and we need a few smart, versatile software engineers to help us solve the most pressing challenges in the email industry. For example, we process data from 100+ million email messages every day, and build useful products powered by all that data. If you love solving complex problems in a simple way, have solid programming skills and are passionate about achieving meaningful business results, then you may be the right fit as a Software Engineer at Return Path.

Skills & requirements
What does it take to be successful in this role?

Practical and professional software development experience

An analytical mind with a strong grasp of algorithms and data structures

Knowledge or command of Go Lang.

Interest in working on an agile/lean team

Experience with test-driven development, continuous integration, continuous deployment

Command-line scripting skills in Unix

Large volume data processing (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, HBase, Storm, etc) a big plus

Experience deploying to Amazon Web Services (EC2, CloudFront, DynamoDB, etc) a plus

Knowledge of email technology (SMTP, DKIM, MIME, etc) a plus

Active contributions to open source software a plus
