Job Summary
We are looking for a stellar Platform Engineer. As a member of the team, you’ll work on designing and building the future of Postgres development tooling.
Candidate's Note: This role is 100% remote. We are looking for candidates only in the United States.
What your impact will be:
Designing and developing platform technology for our next generation management software in our hybrid & multi-cloud management team
Leveraging cloud environments to scale our development and test systems
Monitoring and improving the performance and usability of existing tools and environments
Collaborating with engineers throughout EDB to ensure we are using standard methodologies to build scalable, secure, and operationally sound tools and systems
What you will bring:
3-5 years of experience with Golang, Python, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, OpenShift
3-5 years of experience with major cloud providers: AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
3-5 years of experience in Terraform
Familiarity with microservice, distributed, and event-driven architectures
Solid understanding of Linux/UNIX and comfortable working in a command line-centric environment
Experience developing, automating, implementing and maintaining IaC (Infrastructure as Code)
Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed international team
Strong problem-solving skills
Calm and methodical approach with good communication skills
What will give you an edge:
Experience with NIST SSDF requirements
Build and operate systems in audited environments (e.g., SOC2, PCI, FedRAMP)
Proficiency in automating and optimizing SDLC processes
In-depth knowledge of Unix systems and networking technologies
In-depth knowledge of virtualization technologies
Experience working within a “you build it, you own it” culture
