We need a senior engineer to supercharge our newswire offering and other financial products. The engineer will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of major updates to Benzinga Pro and Benzinga.com, as well as API integration of data streams to major financial firms.
Entrepreneurial experience or previous work at startups a plus.
Skills & requirements
We work primarily in Go on the backend (microservices) and React/HTML5 on the front-end.
On the backend: You should be able to create REST services with golang, work with large MongoDB, MySQL, and Postgres databases, and cover your code with unit tests.
3+ years experience in Go, Python or similar language.
Experience in React is a plus.
Must have a smokin' hot portfolio that includes building multiple websites, including those that have seen steady traffic.
Passion not to just work, but to build a company as a super duper team player.
Experience with Continuous Integration.
Experience on a large projects with 2 or more other developers that required multiple web servers.
Knowledge of financial markets and fintech is a plus.
Knowledge of Salt and AWS is a plus.
