This position will be the primary backend engineer responsible for helping shape, develop and implement the Chatlio API which powers our chat widget and dashboard. Also API work for new products coming in near future. Our backend is written entirely in golang.
We are a small team, so we also wear many hats at Chatlio. While the main focus of this position will be backend API development, we will work with you to leverage your desires and strengths to help out in all aspects of small nimble company. From working with others on how best to build the product, to jumping in chat with customers helping debug their issues.

5+ years building complex applications
Hands on experience with golang and fairly high traffic applications
Experience in making design and architectural decisions
You must be comfortable working with existing codebases
Integrating with 3rd party APIs
Deploying, and monitoring applications on *nix systems on AWS/Google Cloud
Understanding of product development, being able to anticipate what customer might want out of a feature
Ability to multi-task, eg. drop work and trouble shoot operational issue or new bug
Optional, but nice:
Experience with real time applications like chat
Slack API experience
Passion for tools that make communicating with customers easier
We prefer ddates that are +/- 3 hours away from Pacific Time Zone (Seattle)
