Job description
For our new product ownCloud Infinite Scale we are looking for a Senior Go Developer. ownCloud Infinite Scale is a new highly efficient and performant server backend for our enterprise file sync and share platform. As a member of our server team you will join our SCRUM team and work as a senior team member pushing development forward.

Your task is to build and improve the new microservices server backend with the team. As a senior developer, you are a go-to person and enjoy taking technical decisions and guiding younger developers together with the other experienced team members.

Your mission
Design and review new approaches to building an enterprise scale microservices system
Code new features, improve existing ones and fix bugs
Support the testing strategy by implementing tests on various levels
Set up test environments to analyse complex http and grpc based protocol flows
Collaborate with other ownCloud developers from the client and -web team to find consistent solutions
Embrace our git-based development workflow and help review software
Participate in the software lifecycle with testing, releasing and maintaining

Your skill-set
Degree in engineering or computer science, or any other IT related education, and ideally three years of work experience
Active developer with golang for more than one year
Experience with go’s language concepts and know its ecosystem very well
Expert in the Google framework grpc and protocol buffers
Experience in teams that provide production-grade software in cloud native environments
Excellent team worker and comfortable with modern workflows
Written and spoken English allows for effective communication
Being an experienced open source contributor is a big plus
