Job description
We're Birdi 👋 - the scalable aerial intelligence platform that's easy to use for everyone. We enable organisations everywhere to make better business decisions through complete aerial visibility via drones, that scales with your needs - from safety on-site, to asset maintenance, to tracking the progress of a site or build.

We’re an Aussie tech startup ramping up growth and we’re looking for a DevOps to join our fully remote team. You will be joining a highly experienced team that moves fast and builds small, flexible and powerful solutions to big problems.

You will be able to work well autonomously at a high level of trust, and be working alongside the team on goals such as:

Enabling platform observability by extending our tracing, monitoring and alerting
Ensuring quality by analysing telemetry to drive global improvements
Ensuring our infrastructure rollouts are repeatable, up to date and available
Improving our development workflow, CI/CD and team practices
Maintaining the Security and Continuity of our platform

What you will do
Maintain, monitor and improve our cloud infrastructure and apps
Expand DevOps tooling
Determine areas that need automation and make it so
Find and fix global problems across the tech stack
Collaborate with developers, sales, operations and CEO to improve processes, standards & communications and make life easier for everyone

‍
Your background/ experience
2-5 years experience as a SWE or DevOps/SRE
Strong general programming skills
Experience with linux and shell scripting
Experience with AWS and Terraform
Good knowledge of SQL

Nice to have:
Experience with Hashicorp tools (terraform, vault, consul, nomad)
Experience with deploying containers and microservices
Golang experience
Python Experience
Network programming and debugging skills
Security knowledge and experience
