Come tune your development skills and help change the way small businesses are run!

You will not feel like an intern. You will be a full member of a scrum team. You will pick the next story that you work on from the same repo that other engineers do. You will write and deploy code to production on your first day. You will have an impact.

About Us

InsightSquared is a well-funded Cambridge startup. We're building a powerful and elegant business analytics SaaS app that helps small businesses make smarter decisions and take down their larger competitors. We pull sales, marketing, financial, customer service & other data from SaaS app APIs like Salesforce, QuickBooks, and Google Analytics and present over 400 beautiful visualizations and analytics.

We build on a modern platform (Python/Django). We ship code to production not just daily, but a dozen+ times per day. We test quickly, learn fast, iterate fast, and focus on code that matters. Your code *will* see the light of day, and fast.

Coded a handful of our 75 releases to production
Developed a multi-threaded Go service to make our nastiest queries sub-second
Contributed one of the 5 techniques chosen in an all engineering shoot-out that resulted in a 10X SQL data loading speedup
Extended our mobile platform which was started by a Northeastern co-op
Cranked out a customer facing screen that uses data visualization in a new and exciting way
Used tf-idf to do fuzzy matching of names from different sources
Built a dynamic settings screen using CoffeeScript and JQuery
Hacked the Django model to support client compartmentalization
Learned about running a startup directly from our three awesome co-founders
Honed your ping pong skills against some very competitive (and no so competitive) players

Skills & requirements
About You

You are a fearless engineer with great talent that is only eclipsed by your scrappiness
You have a strong, insatiable desire to learn and hone your craft
Your CS degree is completed or in progress
You have experience with or an interest in learning Python/Django
You have a great positive attitude and enjoy working with a team of like-minded folks
You would like to work in Cambridge (this is not a remote job)
