Job description
We require

Go – the language, runtime, concurrency patterns, profiling tools

Kubernetes, PostgreSQL and Google Cloud technologies, gRPC

Tune and maintain scalable PostgreSQL implementations

We offer

85 euro an hour

The content platform is a subsection which enables it’s internal and external partners to deliver relevant product information. Its main responsibility is processing the product media (images, video, audio, documents, etc.) to ensure their availability and quality for usage on the bol.com webshop.

We are currently working on scaling the systems to start processing 15 – 20 million assets a day. This project needs to be finished before the holiday season starts in December.

In order to reach the target, we are looking for a senior engineer who is experienced in developing and maintaining highly available, resilient and scalable web services and has a comprehensive understanding of distributed systems as well as application and database performance.
