Job description
MachineMax, a game changing IoT start-up positioned to disrupt and transform industries, is looking for a Lead Engineer to join us to define and deliver our suite of services.

We're a Canary Wharf based firm of around 20 people, incubated with an innovation firm, fortune 50 corporate partner and a venture capital firm. It's early days so this is a rare opportunity to join a well backed venture and build a truly global product at scale, from the ground up.

Day to day, you'd be delivering high quality, well-tested code; building a range of APIs to serve internal consumers (from customer facing apps to machine learning pipelines); communicating with other teams to plan, coordinate and seek feedback; and pitching in where needed as a valued member of a small, autonomous team.

Skills & requirements
We're looking for someone with:

- Strong knowledge of Go

- Experience with distributed systems

- Excellent analytical, problem solving skills

- Experience deploying production applications and using AWS

- A massive advocate of CI/CD

- Confidence in implementing highly scalable backend services

- Knowledge of what database to use when

- A solid background in the fundamentals - data structures, algorithms, OO design and architecture
