This utilises open source, machine learning and runs in the cloud at scale, supporting millions of subscribers worldwide.

Fresh8 Gaming is hiring for a Back End Developer colleague, coding in Golang, Node.js and Python. We'll provide cross-training to learn Golang - the popular language from Google - to advance the technology that underpins our high throughput content serving platform.
This position is firstly about helping automate processes and building out our backend systems using Go. It's a mix of API discovery and integration work, data manipulation and normalisation, and new feature coding.
You’ll be mentored by Senior Back End Developers while you learn Go; we'll help you get familiar with our code base and soon have you writing new code to improve our stack to improve our stack. We'll continue to support your learning, with chance to contribute back to other open source packages and libraries. You'll also get an opportunity to use Node.js and Python as you begin to contribute to other projects.
Golang is a static compiled language, notable for its simple syntax, built-in concurrency support, and feature-rich standard library. It's aimed at helping Developers build apps at Google's scale and speed, including projects such as Docker and Kubernetes, with a focus on rock-solid performance and ease of use. Go is seeing rapid development from Google, and is backed by a growing ecosystem of developers and projects.

Improving the software to increase throughput of data to near real-time
Integrating new third-party operator JSON and XML feeds into our high volume data management platform
Investigating automation and code generation to drive developer efficiency
Developing new services to restructure and improve existing data sources
Salary and benefits
£25,000 – £30,000+ negotiable

Skills & requirements
Someone who's positive, hard-working and easy to get on with
Proven OOP skills, particularly at at the middle and back end layers
Competence in writing Web services, using XML and JSON
Competence with SQL, from someone who welcomes chance to work on a high throughput database
Readiness to understand, modify and extend APIs
Someone who can apply the principles of clean code to your work through TDD, pairing and review
