Job description
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer for API development able to assume a key leadership role within the company, directly lead one or more engineering teams and has network security experience in combination with packet-processing core development.
Your responsibilities
Develop the API for the packet processing core of our network security product
Mentor and support less experienced engineers
Empirically measure system performance and identify areas of improvement
Challenge existing solutions, inspire new ideas and decisions, support existing projects and goals

Skills & requirements
Qualification

4+ years experience in technical back-end development
Experience with software engineering concepts and Linux-based systems and development using C, C++, and/or Go
A highly analytic and solution focused mindset
Some understanding of Agile developing environments
Ability to break epics into tasks and stories, interpret requirements, and to influence the product
Relevant technical degree or vocational training in computer science or equivalent experience
Very strong API design and implementation experience
Experienced with in-memory and stateful databases including relational, graph, and object oriented databases
Background and experience in web-based front-end systems for management and/or reporting
Fluency in either English or German
