Job Description
Join DigitalMint as a Senior Backend Engineer writing Golang software and automating dev-ops.
As a member of a small engineering team, you will have a big impact in a low-overhead environment at a growing company, wearing multiple hats. Our team improves the quality of software while getting things done, and we are gearing up to meet further regulatory compliance- so you will get a mix of moving fast while doing them securely with qualtiy coding practices. Our engineering team works remotely, but we still work together closely with each other. We do video calls and screen sharing in addition to asynchronous communication. We work with a Product Manager that has a technical background and also talk directly to others at the company to shape technical decisions.
Mentoring is available to grow your skills in dev-ops and software engineering, but candidates with more experience and ability to understand the complications of dev-ops will be preferred. For example, you should be comfortable reading for example Google Cloud or Kubernetes documentation, paying attention to detail, asking questions about what you don’t understand, and making a proper mental model in your head before beginning your work.
What You’ll Do
Begin with a focus on dev-ops- this is a place you can take ownership of.
Configuration Management with Pulumi for GCP cloud, cuelang for k8s manifests.
Assess and improve the security of our cloud infrastructure.
Establish automated monitoring and alerting systems.
Write Golang software that interacts with PostgreSQL and other external systems.
What We’re Looking For
A minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience
Experience writing production software in Golang
Experience testing Golang software and applying other best practices
Experience with dev-ops and configuration management
Nice to have: Experience working in a regulatory (SOC 2) environment.
