Fancy working on a powerful, complex and realistic simulation platform? Want to build a highly-available, fault-tolerant architecture with Go? Do you enjoy mentoring and coaching others?
My client, based in London-based, is one of the most innovative companies in the UK. They have contributed to the gaming world, building multiplayer platforms for many titles. They also use their platform to develop real-world simulations, helping a variety of customers make better predictions and preparations for all sorts of eventualities.
They have asked me to find a lead software engineer to help lead the technical direction of their core platform team. You will build the high availability and fault-tolerant service architecture required to support many users concurrently performing data analysis, running simulations, participating in training exercises and interrogating results. The current stack consists of Go (Golang), gRPC, Kubernetes, Docker, variety of cloud environments.
The core engineering team is focussed on building complete product solutions to tough engineering problems.
You will ideally be:
- someone with experience of leading a team of engineers, whilst remaining hands-on - a capable backend engineer with experience designing and developing large-scale distributed systems using service oriented architectures - capable of writing idiomatic Go
Above all you will be a great team player, with humility and empathy, who enjoys working in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
They company can sponsor visas, although the strong preference is for candidates already in the UK.
