Biography
I'm recent convert to Go, having spent 20 years as a Java developer and architect. I started working with Go as an alternative to C++ for payment terminal firmware and haven't looked back. Now I use it for everything. I have a blockchain payments side project I'm doing that's 100% Go I've been a founding CTO. Some of the companies I've co-founded are still thriving today. I currently work as an e-commerce Solutions Architect for Elastic Path.
Skills
I've been doing Go for payment terminal firmware and REST API development on AWS for the past year or so, and spent 20 years prior to that working my way up the ladder on Java web projects, finally settling on the Spring Boot stack. I've worked extensively in the point-of-sale and e-commerce domain. I'm also a full stack developer as I can do SPA front ends in Vue.js or server rendered front ends using Go's templating system.
What I look for
I'm looking for some Golang contracting or consulting work, hopefully in the Blockchain space.
