Golang / Go Profile: Engineering Lead / Engineering Program Manager

Engineering Lead / Engineering Program Manager - Product, Agile, Delivery, Cloud, Microservices

New York, New York, United States
Looking for: Permanent / Freelance - Can work remotely

Biography
Since graduating high school in '08 I worked in every tech job from being a systems administrator to managing a team of developers while interfacing with copywriters, designers, and managing media relations of a startup. I never bolstered my coding skills, only the way I use my broad knowledge and technical expertise to bring ideas to life using the best tools and smartest people.

Skills
My core strength is organizing cross-specialized projects and implementing their feature set in an agile way. I am meticulous in my work of converting ideas and business requirements to well-planned out deliverables — which may be design, engineering, content, quality assurance, testing, and marketing — and seeing that work through to make sure it fits together. I have 1 year of experience working with Go, mainly in microservice development and data-driven systems. I did my best work in an agency environment where focus was always on extreme reliability and extraordinary impact.

What I look for
I am looking for a chance to help companies bring new products to life. I would like to bridge the gap between non-technical teams and software engineers by making code and ops a shared endeavor and pride of the team-at-large. I code in Go, JS, and Python and I am passionate about building systems that use modern cloud computing to deliver well-designed engaging experiences that change people's lives. I would love to work for a non-profit.
I am based in New York and can't consider relocation without a meaningful commitment on employer's part.
