Biography
Backend developer with 15+ years experience. Have ran and sold two companies, worked in development jobs, and have taken time for non-work life.

Last two years have been mostly work in Go, but I've have done a lot of Python, Perl, Ruby, and projects of various seriousness in C, C++, Haskell, OCaml. Pure sysadmin and fancy Javascript are fine. Over the years I've not only build many systems from scratch, but also have done long-term maintenance, with all lessons which go with that.

Current position is developing a Real Time Bidding (advertising) backend; other recent projects have been a server network traffic visualization tool and working on a VoIP debug product.

I enjoy building solid structures, and the tools to support that. Hunting dead code and outdated features is surprisingly fun.

Skills
Moving things forward, getting along with others, trying again

What I look for
I enjoy building stable backend systems, most likely in smaller teams. Serious bonus points if the end-result is something I use myself.
I'm currently based in Berlin, but moving elsewhere is always an option.
