Job description
We are looking for great engineer, ready to improve their skills, learning Go, and working in one of the coolest and most advanced real-time logistics platform in the market. You will be heavily involved in API design and implementation of critical systems of our service-oriented platform. This position requires a solution-focused thinker who can pro-actively communicate and lead in creative, business, and technical discussions.

When it comes to tech stacks, we are pragmatic. We choose the right tool depending on the need. You will preferably have at least have production experience developing in Golang and bonus points if you’ve built high transactional systems. The ideal candidate will provide mentorship, guidance, and best practices to the team.

Basic Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and deliver awesome technical platforms and solutions for all constituencies (customers, corporate accounts, restaurants, internal tools, etc)
Understand our products from both a technical and business perspective in the context of our larger business.
Communicate with leadership, product owners, other technologists, and users to create working software based on an understanding of business and technical priorities.
Break down complex problems into elegant technical solutions to intelligently solve problems for delivery dude customers, restaurant, corporate accounts and internal stakeholders.
Actively contribute to the adoption of strong software architecture, development best practices, and new technologies. We are always improving the process of building software; we need you to help contribute.

Skills & requirements
Required Qualifications:
Experience using C++ 11 & 14
Experience using Golang, Gotest and Go’s Standard Library.
Experience using JavaScript.
Experience using SQL (MySQL or Postgre).
Experience with managing Linux systems.
Experience interacting with RESTful APIs and JSON.
Excellent English skills, both verbally and in writing.
You are proficient and comfortable with advanced development and have experience using higher-level dynamic languages.
You have experience working with lower level languages and will not be hesitant to debug, modify and extend existing software written in lower level languages.
Understanding of unit testing and Version Control (Git).

Optional Qualifications:
Familiar with languages: Python / PHP 5.5 - 7
Familiar with frameworks: NodeJS / Cordova / React / Angular
Familiar with providers: Amazon AWS / Heroku
Familiar with systems: RabbitMQ / Redis
Familiar with modern stacks and Dev-Ops (CoreOS, Docker, Chef, etc)
Experience with mobile technologies and languages.
Degree in Computer Science (B.A. or Higher)

Bonus Points:
You have experience with QT Platform
You wrote your own data pipelines once or twice before (and know what you did wrong)
You’ve been working with large scale distributed systems.
You wrote your own software involving Machine Learning principles.
