Job description
As cloud infrastructure continues to change the enterprise landscape, Igneous is excited to be bringing zero-touch infrastructure to the data center.

Of course behind any change is a great team and we're building that now. We've been growing rapidly since the close of our near-record Series-A, and a small number of opportunities remain to play a significant part in the design & development of this exciting new product.

We're not saying much yet - but we're looking for an exceptional DevOps Engineer with a background in cloud or distributed systems. At Igneous, you'll be the resident expert in deploying and maintaining very large scale distributed systems with a focus on automation, repeatability and supportability in a Linux / Docker / Golang environment. You'll champion product improvement and be the voice for great customer experience.

This might be your perfect role, if you:

Are, first and foremost, passionate about customers and User Experience

Want to build, deploy and maintain high-traffic, highly-reliable, distributed systems for the enterprise market

Are a champion for all things automation

Enjoy developing software and tools, ideally in Golang, Python or Ruby

Want to be on a team with a proven record of redefining an entire industry - and that’s poised to do it again

Skills & requirements
Equally, we will really want to work with you, if you have:

Extensive experience creating automated build/test/deploy systems using Chef, Puppet, Opsworks or similar tools

Strong development skills in Golang, Python, Ruby or other languages

Work with both physical infrastructure as well as cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.)

Expertise in deploying and maintaining large-scale, high-traffic Linux systems

An engineering or related degree

As the DevOps Engineer at Igneous Systems, you'll join an amazing team as we take on a greatly overlooked market segment. You'll get to work end-to-end on an enterprise-scale product that will permanently change the industry landscape, while working with some of Seattle's best engineers, designers and startup strategists.
