Job description
Groove.id is building a single sign-on platform that eliminates passwords at work. Passwords are painful to keep track of and use and are implicated in 80% of computer intrusions. We want to get folks to a place where it doesn’t matter how tricky the attacker is, it doesn’t matter how gullible the user is, they have nothing of value for an attacker to steal.

We are a year-old, well-funded startup building out our initial engineering team in beautiful Ann Arbor, Michigan.

We believe that diversity of thought, experience, and background will make us better. We believe that the best ideas come from robust, respectful discussion. As founders, we believe our team has the obligation to share their best ideas, particularly when they differ from ours. We believe passionately in serving our clients and their security is always our first priority. We believe strongly that we all need balance in our lives, and encourage you to find balance in yours.

Our backend is written in Go and runs on Kubernetes in Google Cloud. Our web client is written with React and Typescript. We have a full CI/CD pipeline and collaborative code reviews for each commit. Experience with our tech stack is a bonus, but not a requirement.

Because we are small, the job will involve a little bit of everything. We have upcoming work in backend, frontend, and mobile. As with any early stage company, as we grow and learn from our clients we’ll certainly be changing direction and growing new requirements. We try to do this as thoughtfully and openly as possible.

Skills & requirements
The most important requirements are your ability to make wise engineering choices. If you are the right person for us, your ability to learn our stack isn't a critical requirement. Experience with machine learning, distributed computing, and cryptography are all plusses, but are not required.

Instructions how to apply
Please send resumes to Ross Kinder at ross@grooveid.com.
