DramaFever is a young, ambitious and rapidly growing online video start-up that specializes in international entertainment. The company was founded in 2009 and has received multiple venture rounds that includes investment from AMC Networks, Bertelsmann, NALA Investments, and MK Capital as well as investment from the founders/CXOs of YouTube, Machinima, LowerMyBills, Badoo, StubHub, GraphEffect, Capital IQ, Wikets, and many others. DramaFever initially focused on content from Asia and has recently expanded into providing Spanish language programming as well. Partners include Hulu.
DramaFever is seeking a Python developer to join the team, with the ability to work from either the company headquarters in New York City or in Narberth PA (near Philly). DramaFever engineers are presented with tremendous technical challenges, as their video traffic is substantial and scaling and performance are critical to their growth.
Skills & requirements
Ideal candidates will have experience using Python with Django. Experience and/or interest in Go (Golang), AWS, or mobile development is a plus.
