· We meet in person for a week or so every couple of months.
· We share all responsibility for some devops, testing, architecture, coding and documentation.
· We practice pre-commit code review, so you need to be able to talk about your work.

Skills & requirements
Responsibilities:
· You have worked on a bunch of interesting projects and can talk intelligently about them.
· You write high quality programs in a number of languages other than Java. Knowing Java doesn’t hurt either.
· You can write client-side single page applications in Javascript. Maybe you’ve even used AngularJS.
· Gulp, Node.js, Polymer.js, and React.js are things you’ve heard of and at played with.
· When you learned that our current project uses Go for the backend you knew what we were talking about.
· You have an deep understanding of how computers work.
· You are inspired by our mission to make the Internet better.
· You thoughtfully question conventional wisdom. You are open to new approaches and technology, but buzzword-skeptical until their value is proven.
· You’re comfortable challenging your boss and co-workers in a constructive way to arrive at the right decisions.
· You can participate in vigorous technical conversation, defending your ideas and onboarding criticism with aplomb.
 
Requirements:
8+ years progressive experience in software engineering
4+ years as a Sr. or Lead engineer
3+ years of Architecture experience
Expert Knowledge of at least 3 different programming languages
Ability to work in a rapid moving environment
 
Preferences:
 
Go Lang experience strongly preferred
Experience building Web based enterprise applications
Experience with virtualization and containers
Experience with high-scale high volume applications
