Crowd Interactive is seeking a Senior Go Engineer that has the hunger to be more than just a cog in a giant machine. This is the perfect role for a technical leader who wants to work in a world-class virtual team. Very little about this position or company are ordinary. We go fast, build multiple products at the same time, and strive to be at the forefront of innovation within the world of web and mobile commerce.
Why this role exists:
Our team has recently fallen in love with Go. We have a strong Ruby/Rails background, and while we really enjoy those technologies, we have a craving for a faster and more scalable technology stack. We want someone who is strong in Go and general engineering to help us build out this practice area within the company.
What success looks like:
A successful Senior Go Engineer is going to drive agile adoption of Go inside the company. This means wearing many hats, from pair programming to reviewing code of teams working in Go. Success means driving fast adoption of the technology within the company. This includes unblocking engineers when they get stuck, writing excellent Go code, and being an advocate for the technology inside the company.
Writing excellent Go code on our core platform products
Contributing to and driving architectural decisions
Developing high-quality library-code that can be used to accelerate projects
Pair-programming and providing hands-on training to Engineers who are new to Go
Participating in formal and informal code reviews
Research, development, and review on new Go technologies
Establishing best practices in code structure and tool chain within the company
*This is a full-time position for either our Colima, MX or San Francisco, CA offices.
Skills & requirements
Having shipped at least one production application or web service using Go.
1 Year of experience writing code in Go
Deep understanding of current toolkits and Frameworks in Go
Depth of understanding of Go best practices in
Deep experience (5+ years) shipping web applications in other modern technology stacks:
An addiction to building very fast applications
A focus on security and scalability
