Job description
Yik Yak is looking for engineers with real world experience designing and implementing large scale services. We’re looking for systems level developers who are excited by the challenges of storing location based data at scale, retrieving and serving that data at low latency, and transforming that data in realtime for personalized experiences.

Skills & requirements
*5+ years experience building high performance, scaled systems
*Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms
*Experience with distributed system design and analysis
*Proficiency in Go, Java or C
*Expert debugging and profiling skills
*Relentless focus on reliability and stability
*A test- and verification-based mindset

Nice to have
*Experience building mobile services; understanding of the challenges of mobile networks
*Experience with public cloud infrastructure (such as AWS or GCE)
*Knowledge and experience with stream processing systems
