Job description
Drillinginfo is seeking Platform Engineers/Full Stack developers to help us build our next generation applications and services platform for our SaaS applications. Our SaaS applications provide our customers with unique ways to interact and interpret industry data providing key insights and answers enabling them to make better decisions, faster.

Our Platform is a key differentiator - a highly innovative, modern software platform that enables engineers to deploy, monitor, manage and operate applications and services. The Platform engineer is part of the Platform engineering team and is highly engaged with development teams to provide tools, services and frameworks to enable development teams to go insanely fast. The ideal candidate is curious, adaptable, forward looking, loves shipping code, owns what they ship and enjoys helping others be successful.

Successful Platform Engineers:
Write fantastic, well tested code
Build highly scalable, distributed systems with an emphasis on “microservices”
Build tools, services, frameworks and interfaces to enable development teams to ship better code, faster
Build tools, services, frameworks and interfaces to enable development teams to monitor, manage and operate code in production
Build for the “cloud” - e.g. AWS or Google Compute
Containerize all the things - Applications, services and jobs
Automate all the things - builds, infrastructure and deployments
Document, promote and present your work to other development teams
Collaborate with other Platform engineers and other development teams
Use the right tool for the right job - Polyglot
Always be learning

Skills & requirements
Desired Skills:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related engineering discipline
Strong Java or Scala skills with an interest in learning and using Golang
Experience and interest in RESTful services
Containerization tools like Docker
Infrastructure tools like Chef or Ansible
Cloud infrastructure like AWS
NoSQL like Couchbase, Elasticsearch
Message brokers like RabbitMQ or Kafka
Relational Databases like SQLServer or Postgres
